Dr. Ortelli鈥檚 tenure with Galen has been marked by significant milestones, which include leading the creation of Galen鈥檚 baccalaureate and master鈥檚 degree programs and leveraging her assessment and evaluation expertise to design Galen’s robust test development process, which has supported Galen鈥檚 outstanding NCLEX庐 pass rates. Most recently, Tracy was crucial in securing Galen鈥檚 recognition as an NLN Center of Excellence in 2023.

Beyond her contributions to Galen, Dr. Ortelli was responsible for the creation of the NLNs Certified Nurse Educator examination and served as a co-author of the seminal work, The Scope of Practice for Academic Nurse Educators. Her active leadership in professional organizations include serving as the President of the New Jersey League for Nursing (2020-2022), during which time they were historically awarded the NLN Constituent League Excellence in Innovation Award twice鈥�2020 and 2022. In addition, she has been a member of the Nursing on Boards Coalition State and National Integrated Strategy Work Group since 2019, which further testifies to her unwavering commitment to the nursing profession.
Her notable achievements in academia and professional service, her induction as a fellow into the Academy of Nursing Education in 2012 and American Academy of Nursing in 2021, coupled with her educational background – including a Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University, an MS from Columbia University, and a BSN from The Ohio State University – firmly positions her to guide Galen鈥檚 academic future.

Dr. Denker joined 蜜桔视频 in 2005, and she currently serves as Executive Vice President of Nursing (EVP). In her current position, she is responsible for day-to-day program operations, staffing and workload, clinical operations, simulation, and student support. During her tenure as EVP, all prelicensure ADN programs obtained ACEN accreditation and all program pass rates exceed state and national averages.
The induction ceremony will take place at the Honors Convocation, before the closing Gala at this year鈥檚 on Saturday, September 30. Galen Hosts Kentucky Governor and Kentucky Nurses Association (KNA) for Historic Legislation

The event focused on legislative opportunities and important issues impacting the nursing profession and marked a significant moment in history as Governor Andy Beshear signed landmark legislation aimed at safeguarding healthcare workers across the state.
The legislative session, held at the college鈥檚 state-of-the-art campus in Louisville, brought together nursing professionals, legislators, and stakeholders from the healthcare industry. “This event continues the focus on the legislative opportunities and important issues impacting the nursing profession that were highlighted at Kentucky Nurses Day at the Capitol in March 2023,” Dolores White, KNA President.

Saucony and Galen Launch the First-Ever NIL Student Nurse Initiative in Recognition of National Student Nurse Day

HCA Virginia Health System and its affiliate, 蜜桔视频, have announced a second Virginia Galen campus will open in Roanoke in 2023. As a single-purpose nursing college with a mission to increase access to quality nursing education, Galen will bring an additional educational option in Roanoke to help address Virginia鈥檚 nursing workforce needs. Pembroke Pines Receives Programmatic Accreditation by ACEN for the ADN Program
is proud to announce the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) has granted initial accreditation to its Associate Degree in Nursing program at the Miami Campus in Pembroke Pines.
ACEN programmatic accreditation is specific to nursing and affirms that the program is committed to quality standards in curriculum, outcomes, faculty, governance, resources, and students. It is a form of self-regulation and evaluates a specific program against a set of nationally normed criteria.
