Nursing Program Overview

Galen’s two-year Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program can get you started on your journey to becoming a registered nurse (RN) with the knowledge and confidence you need to succeed.

With four starts per year, you can begin your educational journey when it’s convenient for you. Plus, there are no waiting lists and all general education classes are included in the nursing curriculum. That means no pre-requisites! The ADN program features hands-on learning with a proven clinical-based curriculum that will prepare you to sit for the NCLEX-RN® licensure exam – and enter the nursing field with confidence.

We understand that deciding to enroll in nursing school requires commitment from our students that also have other life responsibilities.

Because a large number of our students are working adults, our ADN program can be completed in 24 months or less (depending on transfer credits), even if you have no experience in nursing or higher education. Our admissions representatives can advise on your anticipated graduation date based on your previous experience or general education courses – contact us to plan your degree schedule.

Galen’s requirements for clinical experiences are similar to those you will encounter in your professional nursing career. All requirements are designed to ensure continuity of patient care, as well as to protect students, healthcare providers, and patients from the manifestation and spread of diseases.

The equivalencies shown are for information purposes only and are subject to change due to changes in curriculum. Galen does not transfer in developmental, pre-licensure, or nursing courses taken prior to achieving an RN license.
